by Manjula Fernando The Examinations Department has decided to conduct the GCE Ordinary Level examination from December 20 to January 1, Commissioner General R.B. Amarakoon said. The examination was originally scheduled to be held from December 11 to 22. It was postponed due to security concerns after the General Election. The commissioner said that original admission cards and all appointments of collecting/coordinating centre officers and Chief Examiners are still valid. There will be no change in the timetable in respect of the order of question papers given each day. The exam will be held on Sunday, December 23, but not on December 25, 26 and 30 on account of Christmas/New Year. Chief Examiners are required to report to coordinating centres by 7.30 a.m. on December 18 and the collecting centres are also required to be open by 7.30 a.m. the same day. |
