Puttalam district UNP candidate B. Haffi yesterday surrendered before Puttalam Additional Magistrate Jeganathan following the court order to arrest three UNP candidates.

Puttalam Magistrate Frank Gunawardhana ordered police to arrest Ranga Bandara, Harold Vanses and B. Hafi following an incident in Anamaduwa where four police officers were kept under duress.

Later Mr. Hafi was granted personal bail of Rs. 100,000 and certified bail in a sum of Rs. 25,000.
