Sharjah tournament to go ahead as planned SHARJAH, Sunday (Reuters) - The three-nation tournament between Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Zimbabwe will go ahead as planned in October, organisers said on Saturday. "There is absolutely no change in the schedule and all the three teams have committed to play here and they will stick to the plan," said Zahid Noorani, chief executive of the Cricketers Benefit Fund Series. Tuesday's terror attacks on New York and Washington have disrupted sporting schedules around the world, including New Zealand's three-test tour of Pakistan which was called off on Thursday. "We keep talking to the officials of the participating teams on a regular basis but our discussions are mainly confined to administrative matters," Noorani added. |
