Lady teacher, two children die in fire

Three persons of the same family died in a fire inside a two storied house in Golumadama, Ratmalana early yesterday morning. The victims were a 31-year-old woman and her two children. One child was three months old while the other was 18 months old.

The fire occurred on the ground floor.

The woman, a teacher, and her husband, were asleep in their room at the time of the incident. Her husband was a businessman.

Police believe the cause of the fire to be an electrical short circuit.
