Teenager’s alleged murderer identified

The post mortem examination on the body of a 13 year old girl of Delft has revealed that the girl had been sexually assaulted and her head had been smashed with a stone and put to death. A youth with several charges of sexual violence has been identified as the perpetrator of this crime. He was the third accused in journalist Nimalarajan’s murder.

The residents of Delft marched in rage to his house and mauled him mercilessly and dragged him along the sea beach road to the police station. The police and the Navy intervened and rescued him from further assaults. The suspect is Kandasamy Jegatheeswaran (31) of Manipay. High tension is prevailing in the area over the brutal murder of the student Laxini.
