Police net fire cracker businessman

Anuradhapura Chief Magistrate and Additional District Judge Darshika Wimalasiri fined a businessman Rs 50,000 for producing fire crackers using a popular brand name.

The accused was K I Dilan of Kimbulapitiya.

Police arrested him when he was selling the fire crackers. They seized 352 rolls containing 29,500 crackers as well.

The judge ordered the fire crackers to be destroyed and release the lorry in custody to the owners.
