Art exhibition to assist disabled children:

The artists who will showcase their work at the exhibition

The exhibition showcases paintings and drawings done by 12 artists will be held at Lionel Wendt Theatre from May 6 to 8 from 10 am to 8 pm. It comprises of amateurs and previous exhibitors.

The exhibition is held to promote different styles art by the budding artists and in return with the hope of generating a profit to be of assistance to the Prithipura Infant Homes in Wattala.

Prithipura Infant Homes is home to many physically and mentally disabled children in dire need of love and care abandoned by their parents. The artists displayed will be Ayub Cader, Hafsah Cader, Aloka Chandrasena, Suchitra Colonne, Anoma Fernando, Ravish Fernando, Zeyana Haniffa, Mumina Irfan, Zainab Irfan, Asma Shafeek, Namali Silva and Salaf Tegal.

The artists' profiles consist of diverse elements, different ages, experiences, styles of expression and inspirational sources.

Shades of Sri Lanka organizers hope to promote an array of artwork that can be derived from various artist backgrounds.

The exhibition will display a maximum of 250 paintings, ranging from Old Masters to Vector art showcasing two extremes of art.
