World Travel Centre to expand outbound division

Expansion: The World travel Centre Colombo is expanding their outbound division to meet the present day needs of Sri Lankan travellers.

There is an increase demand of local travelers traveling overseas especially for destinations such as Thailand, Malaysia. India and Singapore mainly for shopping and sightseeing.

Manager Business Development, World travel Centre Colombo, said that this is the reason why they decided to

expand. "We also received the BSP Certification for the International Air Transport Association (IATA) which allows the company to issue tickets over the counter," he said.

He said that in addition they are also promoting special weekend local packages, which are gaining popular among the local and expatriate community.

Three tours have been organised for the long week-end (January 13 to 15). The first is to Yala - Kataragama with two nights accommodation while the second is for Nuwara Eliya.

The other is to explore Maligawila, Buduruwagala and Yudaganawa with over night accommodation provided at Grand Ella Motel (Ella Rest House)

In addition the company is promoting special day and over night White Water Rafting packages at Kitulgala. "These adventure tours are for groups and when completed would be provided with a cetifate as well," he said.
