Riverina wins Neckermann Primo Award

AWARD: Riverina Hotel Beruwela - A Confifi Group Hotel - earned the distinction of being the only hotel in Sri Lanka to receive the Neckermann Primo Award 2006.

Over 500,000 travellers of Neckermann, the travel brand of the Thomas Cook Group in Germany, participated in a survey to vote the top 100 Neckermann partner hotels used 2006 and Riverina Hotel Beruwela was identified as one amongst the top 100 resorts on Neckermann programs worldwide.

The Primo Award is presented annually based on customer scores for quality of accommodation, services and overall hospitality.

Winning this award, Riverina Hotel has brought recognition to Sri Lanka, The Confifi Group of Hotels and the tourist resort of Beruwela, at a time when Sri Lanka faces challenges attracting foreign holiday makers to visit our country.

Neckermann will now identify Riverina as a Primo Award Hotel in future brochures, endorsing to prospective visitors its standards of hospitality which won the acclaim of previous travellers.

The efforts of the Riverina team led by Cey Wen Chang, General Manager and Eksath Wijeratne, the Resident Manager whose efforts has boosted the image and reputation of the hotel and the Confifi Group is highly valued and sets a benchmark for others said a spokesperson for The Confifi Management.

The Confifi Group also manages the deluxe Eden Resort and Spa and the popular Club Palm Garden, which together with Riverina are situated along the Golden Mile Beach in Beruwela.
