| Social Democratic Party warns to protect the alliance from traitors The Social Democratic Party has extended its blessing and unconditional support to the alliance of the Sri Lanka Freedom Party and the Janatha Vimukthi Peramuna. It seriously warns that the alliance definitely has to be protected from the traitors and agent provocateurs from the moment of inauguration. The party in a release stated it saluted the progressives within the leadership and the membership of the SLFP who consistently and vehemently fought to establish the alliance and also to the entire force of the JVP who worked hard with strong discipline and dedication to bring this great achievement, refusing to be discouraged despite all the treacherous delaying tactic and calculated set back. "Open enemies will constantly combat the alliance that is an attack to be expected. But the political representatives of the social organisationwho disguise behind progressive masks will surely and relentlessly try to bombard the alliance using the innermost palace coup d'etats following their tendencies of treachery during last ten months. We call upon all the masses who are now rejoiced by the signing of the National alliance to politically annihilate the masked Anti-alliance traitors and saboteurs without an iota of mercy", it states. |
