In 1990 the Ministry of Hindu Religious and Cultural Affairs under then Minister P.P. Devaraj launched a book by Prof. Canaganayagam Suriyakumaran under the title 'Hinduism for Hindus and non-Hindus - Its Religion and Metaphysics' as a Government publication, with (now) Justice Vigneshwaran delivering the valedictory address. A subsequent edition was contemplated under the previous government, and is now being considered by Minister Maheswaran of that Ministry.
