Harsh realities in family relationships
The glamour and appeal that is associated with the film and
television industries no doubt attract loads of youngsters towards these
dream worlds. They only see the glitter and splendour on the surface of
it. They fail to realise the harsh realities and the darker sides in
these fields until they fall prey and experience it for themselves.
Especially in these male dominant fields largely in the Asian sector,
females become virtually powerless, vulnerable and are exploited in
numerous ways. This situation has forced females to be crafty and
extremely tactful in order to make a name for themselves in these
fields.
This is the tragic story of the innocent dream of a village girl
whose goal is to become a popular actress…
Ahinsa is the third girl among four siblings. She is known as Suddi
among her family and villagers. She is at home awaiting AL results. Her
father Heen Appu is a cultivator. Her mother Kusumawathi helps her
husband and looks into the needs of her children. Nihal is the eldest
son and the only boy in the family.
The guy who had not had proper education, has married from a family
in the village largely due to ignorance. Amaa is Suddi’s elder sister.
Deprived of proper education she is involved in sewing in a home in the
village.
The not-so good looking girl always envies Suddi and her younger
sister Kalpana who is preparing to sit the GCE O/L exam. Kalpana gets on
well with Suddi. Though Nihal does not make frequent visits to his
family home, he looks into the needs of the family.
Running for 100 episodes, the teledrama will be telecast from Monday
to Friday on Swarnavahini at 9 pm. |
