Engineering Projects makes entry
Engineering Projects of India Ltd made an entry into Sri Lanka by
signing an agreement with The National Water Supply and Drainage Board
for the laying of pipes in the Vavuniya region. The project is funded by
the The Asian Development Bank (ADB) with the project cost of US$8
Million.
The residents of Vavuniya have long yearned for quality potable water
and the process has now commenced. Engineering Projects India Limited is
a Government of India company created to function as a private
enterprise and has a wide and varied portfolio in the sphere of Infra
Structure Development. Water related activity like the laying of pipes,
building treatment plants and creating reservoirs and dams are some of
the company’s activities.
Highway constructions, building of bridges and micro tunneling is
also among its routine activities. The Chairman and Managing Director,
M. Bakshi is here to ink the agreement and undertake a short tour to
view the sites of activity for himself. Executive Director Suresh Kumar
said the company is here to stay and has ambitious plans for the future. |
