Sri Lanka Economic Summit begins

The Sri Lanka Economic Summit 2013, the flagship event of Ceylon Chamber of Commerce began yesterday with the inauguration session of summit held yesterday at the Cinnamon Grand Hotel. The sessions of the summit will commence today at the Cinnamon Grand, Colombo under the theme 'Re-Balancing the Economy. The summit under the rebalancing economy theme will comprise sessions on "Managing the Fiscal Deficit", "Export Strategy: Time to Re-Think and Re-Focus", "Enhancing Competitiveness Through Higher Productivity", "Connecting to Untapped Resources",Demography and Skills Development", and "Powering the Nation for the Future and Challenges to Re-balancing the Economy".

The event will see the participation of Corporate Sri Lanka and world renowned academics, government officials and stakeholders and will bring together these professionals to one platform to discuss timely issues related to the economy and to draw a road map for the future.
