Menon here for tri-lateral maritime security discussion

Indian National Security Advisor Shiv Shankar Menon is scheduled to
visit Sri Lanka in order to hold talks on a tri -lateral maritime
security treaty between India, Sri Lanka and the Maldives, Media Centre
for Natioanal Security (MCNS) Director General Lakshman Hulugalla said.
According to Hulugalla, the Indian National Security Adviser will
call on President Mahinda Rajapaksa, Defence Secretary Gotabhaya
Rajapaksa during his visit which will take place this month, on an
invitation extended by the Sri Lankan External Affairs Ministry. “Menon
is expected to meet top Sri Lankan officials during his visit.
"Trilateral talks will be held on maritime security between India, Sri
Lanka and the Maldives, “he said. |
