The Weliveriya police arrested a suspect who had been involved in seventeen cases of house breaking in the Weboda, Ambaraluwa and Kirillawala areas. The police also had recovered a sum Rs. 450,000 in the possession of the suspect. The suspect, a resident of Kurunegala, had been produced before the Gampaha Additional Magistrate Heshantha de Mel, who remanded him till July 4. Kaluwala waterfall in Paleegala village nearly five kilometres off Eheliyagoda attracts local and foreign visitors. Wild flowers and endemic bird varieties are also found in the vicinity.
