| The
Weliveriya police arrested a suspect who had been involved
in seventeen cases of house breaking in the Weboda,
Ambaraluwa and Kirillawala areas. The police also had
recovered a sum Rs. 450,000 in the possession of the
suspect. The suspect, a resident of Kurunegala, had been
produced before the Gampaha Additional Magistrate Heshantha
de Mel, who remanded him till July 4. The suspect had been
in prison on an earlier occasion too. The arrest was made by
OIC, Weliveriya Police, IP S. K. Upali. Weliveriya Police

| Kaluwala waterfall in Paleegala
village nearly five kilometres off Eheliyagoda attracts
local and foreign visitors. Wild flowers and endemic bird
varieties are also found in the vicinity. The Kaluwala
waterfall supplies water to hundreds of acres of paddy
fields in the Paleegala area. Here, the waterfall and Green
