Four attempt to snatch vehicle

Four persons who allegedly attempted to snatch a Caterpillar heavy vehicle and a lorry belonging to a finance company at the Galle Pinnaduwa Entrance of the Southern Expressway was arrested by Galle Police on Sunday night.

The heavy vehicle and the lorry was being taken to Colombo after they were seized by the finance company on account of the nonpayment of leasing installments by a businessman in Matara.

Investigations reveal that the suspects had been employed by the businessman who failed to settle the leasing charges as agreed upon as per the leasing agreement with the finance company.
