The minister made this request while participating at the Scientific Forum - Multi-factor issues on Chronic Kidney Disease of Unknown Origin (CKDU) in connection to food dietary habits identification held yesterday at the Hector Kobbekaduwa Agrarian Research and Training Institute.

Addressing the occasion, Minister Abeywardane said the government did everything possible to identify the reasons for the spread of this disease and also to find a solution to eradicate the disease from the country by spending much money. But still there had been no permanent solution found.

Participating on the occasion, Kalutara District Parliamentarian Vidura Wickramanayake said that it was necessary provide more funding for more research studies.
