Former female LTTE cadre released
The Rehabilitation Commissioner General’s office
yesterday, announced that ex-LTTE Women’s Wing political head Siva
Subramanium Sivahami alias Thamalini, was released to her mother,
Subramanium Sinnamma, after rehabilitation. She underwent
rehabilitation at the Puntottam Rehabilitation Camp in Vavuniya at
the time of her release.

Pakistani Chief of Army Staff here today
Pakistan’s Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General
Ashfaq Parvez Kayani is due to undertake a three day visit to Sri
Lanka commencing today. This will be his second visit as he visited
Sri Lanka in January 2011. During his stay in Sri Lanka, General
Kayani will meet the top military leadership of the country.

Drunk bhikkhu arrested on Poson day
A bhikkhu who consumed alcohol on Poson full
moon Poya Day in Theliyagonna was arrested by Kurunegala Police.
Kurunegala Police Special Crime and Fraud Bureau received
information that the drunk bikkhu was dancing with children opposite
an international school.
