Emirates offers special discounts on new flights to Colombo

Emirates, one of the world's fastest growing airlines has announced a 10 percent discount on fares from Colombo to any destination on the airline's global network for outbound travel booked on flight EK 655 to Dubai, the additional thrice weekly frequency commencing 30th June, 2013.

Valid for sales and outbound travel up to 8th August, 2013, these discounts will extend to onward connections from Dubai, which are part of the booked itinerary. Return travel is permitted on any of Emirates' 24 weekly flights in to Colombo from Dubai.

"This is a great opportunity for travellers to utilise this inaugural offer to get special fares network-wide," said Chandana De Silva, Emirates' Area Manager Sri Lanka & Maldives.

"Because the new flight EK 655 offers convenient connections to Emirates' services from Dubai to points in the USA and Europe - popular destinations for Sri Lankan travellers, the savings for passengers could be substantial."

Emirates serves 34 points in Europe and eight cities in North America. Once in the USA, Emirates passengers may also travel to many other cities under the partnership between Emirates and JetBlue.

The airline operates 14 flights a week from Dubai to New York and seven weekly flights to Washington, Seattle, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Houston and Dallas. The airline also has a weekly schedule of 35 flights to London Heathrow and 21 to London Gatwick.

Besides connecting with all of these flights, Emirates' flight EK 655 from Colombo also connects well with flights to several Middle Eastern points.

Commencing Sunday, 30th June, the new Emirates flight EK 655 will depart Colombo on Sundays, Mondays and Thursdays.

Both cabins are equipped with Emirates' award-winning ice entertainment system with up to 1,400 channels on-demand entertainment to choose from, including movies, television programmes, games, audio books and music from across the world.

Passengers on the new Colombo Dubai services will also enjoy the extra generous Emirates baggage allowance of 30kg in Economy Class and 40kg in Business Class as well as the opportunity to earn Skywards Miles on their travel from the award-winning frequent flyer programme of Emirates Airline.
