Holy Cross Walk 2013 for swimming pool project

Holy Cross College Old Boys Association has taken the lead role in patronizing a project to construct a swimming pool, which is the most wanted asset to the college. Rector of the school Fr. Dr. Cammilus Fernado is giving leadership to the swimming pool project in order to make this project a reality.

Five engineers produced by Holy Cross College are in the vanguard of drawing all plans for the proposed swimming pool project. The OBA is going after an estimated Rs.25 million project and has drawn up well successful project in order to raise their funds.

Already they have raised some funds through two projects and the next project of the old boys association is the "Holy Cross Walk 2013" which is a well arranged to be held on July 21, beginning at 3 pm from the College premises.

Plans are all finalized to commence this "Holy Cross Walk 2013" with the participation of the present students, members of the staff, and parents with the branch school of the college.

We are now in the process of connecting with all old boys who left college from 40 years age at the much looked forward walk in expected to draw a crowd of 5000. This massive walk and the musical show has been sponsored by the business community where Sri Lanka Telecom and Mobitel Pvt Ltd being the main sponsors with a sponsorship o f Rs. 5 million. Discussions are also underway for sponsorships of Rs. 5 lakhs for Gold Sponsorships while many more campaign which the old boys association has extended their hands of brotherhood.

A well known footwear company "Minuki" has already consented for the Rs. 2.5 lakhs silver sponsorship while Stafford motors has come forward as the co-sponsor which is the quota of their development.

The old boys are hopeful of sponsorships from the business community for the souvenir which will be printed for the walk and the musical show.

The old boys association is hopeful of the help from the present boys, Old boys, and members of the staff, donors, and all the business community in the quest to build a swimming pool.
