Agro chemicals stored with vegetables; lorry driver arrested

Nochchiyagama Police arrested a lorry driver while transporting a stock of agro chemicals, including pesticides, alongside a stock of vegetables and cereals in a lorry in Nochchiyagama.

The Police acting on a tip-off, stopped the lorry and found agro chemicals loaded alongside potatoes, onions, dhal, salt, corriander and pumpkin. The Police obtained a report from the divisional public health officer after the latter inspected the goods.
