Interim order on SLBBFF vacated

Mount Lavinia District Judge K Priyantha Fernando on June 3 vacated an interim order issued on the Sri Lanka Body Building and Fitness Federation preventing it from holding its 2013/2015 AGM scheduled for March 31, 2013.

Earlier an interim order was issued on the Federation by the District Court on March 27, 2013 preventing it from holding its AGM on March 31, 2013 after considering a petition filed by Gunasinghe Kithsiri, Hemal Dias of No 50/C3, Vijaya Mangalaramaya Road, Kohuwala.

When the case was called on June 3 the District Judge in his order said that there is no Prima Facie case against the respondent and vacated the interim injunction issued on the Federation. The District Judge also ordered the petitioner to pay Rs 75,000 as part of the cost of holding the AGM and legal costs to the respondent Sri Lanka Body Building and Fitness Federation and ordered it to proceed with its 2013/15 AGM as planned.
