| President Mahinda Rajapaksa yesterday
opened the refurbished headquarters of the Sri Lanka Freedom
Party with modern facilities. An all night pirith chanting
took place yesterday to bless the party and President
Rajapaksa who completes 43 years since entering the
Legislature from the Beliatta constituency. Here, President
Rajapaksa participating in religious observations before the
commencement of pirith chanting. SLFP General Secretary and
Health Minister Maithripala Sirisena, Irrigation and Water
Resources Management Minister and Vice President of the
party Nimal Siripala de Silva and Economic Development

Bandula Padmakumara is seen presenting a special gift to
Dulanjali Ariyathilake, who excelled in the GCE Ordinary
Level examination in 2012. The event was organized by the
‘Sithmina’ Educational Publication of the ANCL and the
staff, administration and sales division of the ANCL with
the financial sponsorship of the Institute of Vocation
Studies (IVS) to reward students that excelled at the GCE
