Superintendent issued notice to produce two accused in HC

Ratnapura High Court Judge Mohan Seneviratne on June 6 issued notice on the Superintendent of Kuriwita Prison to produce the two accused in the Kotakethana double murder case in High Court on June 26.

The Judge ordered the production items at the Pellmadulla Magistrate's Court to be produced in High Court on that date.

The two accused are Lokuhewage Dharshana alias Raju and his wife Rasika Chandanie.

The Judge issued notice sequel to an application filed by State Counsel Udara Karunaratne.

The Attorney General indicted both in High Court for the murder of Nayana Nilmini, 52, and his daughter Kavindaya Sellaheva, 17, a student.

Both were found with cut injuries. The case was called for trial without a non-summary inquiry.
