Solid SC beat Army 3-2

Solid SC overcame SL Army SC by three goals to two when the two team battled it out in the Champions' League stage four football match played at the Prison ground in Anuradhapura yesterday.

It was a tremendous performance by the outstation lads at their home ground in front of a large home crowd.

Zola scored the first goal while Shanaka Prabodh scored the second goal for Solid SC in the first half. Army tried hard every thing during the first half but strong Solid SC prevented them from finding the nett during the first half. Solid SC led 2-0 at half time.

After the lemons Riaz Mohomad of Solid SC booted another goal. Soldiers opened their account late in the second half and they managed to score another goal to close the gap before the final whistle was blown.
