Antonians to face tough opposition

St. Anthony's College, Kandy will meet with tough opposition when
they clash with Science College, Mount Lavinia in their schools under 20
Division One Segment B rugby tournament match to be played at the
Bogambara Stadium, Kandy tomorrow at 4.30 pm.
The Antonians started off the season on the wrong foot losing to St.
Peter's College and Wesley College but turned around in their third
match to defeat Issipathana College at home.
Next they held the Josephians to a draw in a match shortened by 23
minutes due to bad light following a late start due to rain. They beat
Royal College at home before losing to the two top teams in the table
Trinity College and Dharmaraja College.
Antonians should win one more game to be safe from a demotion to a
lower division next season. At present they are safe from this
Predicament but one more win should consolidate their position.
This will be Science College's second trip to the hills and in their
last appearance they almost created an upset before losing to the
present table leaders. Dharmaraja College by two points. They almost won
this match leading the score till shortly before close. But a penalty
fired by the Rajans saw them lose in the end.
Science College have done will this season having beaten the
Royalists comfortably and will look for their first win against a Kandy
school this season.
