Johnian Walk and Old Boys' Talent Show today

Johnian Walk and Old Boy's Talent show 2013, organized by the Old
Boys' Association of St John's College Nugegoda will be held today
commencing at 3pm. The walk will start from college premises and proceed
through Gansabawa Junction - Delkanda Junction via old Kesbewa road to
Kottawa junction and will finish in front of the Super Market ,
Nugegoda.
Immediately after the walk the Old Boys' Talent Show will be held at
the Ananda Samarakoon open Theatre, Negegoda commencing at 6.30 pm and
will continue till midnight.
Old Boys who excelled in the fields of music , Dance and other
aesthetic fields will perfume at the show while Centigrade will enhance
the colour of the event. Both events have been organized by the St
John's OBA to raise funds to develop sports and proposed centenary
building project. The centenary building with 15 classrooms includes a
music room, and a dancing room and the chapel apart from the classrooms
and is expected to finish constructions by May 2015.
The proposed swimming pool will be vested on students by 2020 and the
project is seen as a huge booster for talented swimmers in St Johns and
in other schools as well.
Their second phase of development plan is to construct an auditorium
which has been a long felt need for the college and is expected to be
opened by 2018.
