Minister in Malaysia for Summit

Women's Affairs and Child Development Minister Tissa Karaliyadda is attending the third global parliamentarians' summit on the challenges to ensure rights and health facilities of women and children held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia from May 28-30.

European Parliamentary Forum on Population and Development and Asian Forum of Parliamentarians on Populations and Development jointly conduct this summit.

Minister Karaliyadda said he plans to use decisions taken at the summit to protect rights of children and women and enhance health facilities for them.

Karaliyadda is the Chairman of the standing committee of Asian Forum of Parliamentarians on Populations and Development. The minister will deliver a lecture on 'protecting rights of female children and promote them'.
