'Divakara Mohotti schols a noble deed'

"It is a noble act bestowed to children studying in year 6 and above until they sit for the university entrance examination to have of received scholarships for their education from the Kudaligama Maha Vidyalaya Divakara Mohotti Scholarship Fund.

The staff teachers and parents have appreciated the noble deed and are happy, said Principal, S Janaka of the Kudaligama Maha Vidyalaya at a function held to donate the Grade 6 scholarships for year 2013.

The meeting was held under the patronage of Divakara Mohotti, the Chairman of the Scholarship Fund.

Further, the Principal said that it was a very rare incident in modern society to assist the needy children in this manner.

Therefore, we should recognize Mohotti's noble deed by offering to help the deserving children of this school, he said.

It is also appreciated that Mohotti had shown his gratitude to the school he had received his basic education, the Principal said.

D M D Mohotti speaking at the scholarship awarding ceremony, said that the first scholarship had been presented by well-known Media personality Kalasoori Gunadasa Liyanage. He appealed to the staff and parents that the time had come for the parents to pay more attention towards their children.

Divakara Mohotti also presented some latest navels to the library of the school.
