Nepal’s Chaudhary Group to invest over Rs four bn in Lanka
Chaudhary Group of Nepal with overseas
investments in several countries would invest over Rs four billion
in Sri Lanka in diversified sectors. Binod K. Chaudhary, Chairman of
the group said that they made their presence 17 years ago by tying
up with Taj Group of Hotels and recently acquiring a stake in two
hotels, Jet Wing Vil Uyana and Jetwing Sea.

Serendib Engineering Group posts Rs 46.4 mn PAT in FY 2012/13
Serendib Engineering Group PLC formally known as
Infrastructure Developers PLC reported an impressive turn of events
in their draft financial for FYE March 31, 2013 released on the CSE
recently. In the first full year of operation since the company was
acquired and restructured by Navara Capital Ltd the company reported
a Consolidated NPAT of Rs.46.4 million from a turnover of Rs. 339
million.

Subhash Goyal said Indian tourists arrivals to Sri Lanka will exceed
one million within next ten years as more Indians have started
spending their holiday in Sri Lanka with the end of terrorism.
