solid waste management project in the Colombo city. Environment and
Renewable Energy Ministry Secretary

signed the MoU on behalf of the two parties at the ministry.
Basnayake said under this project technological and financial support
would be facilitated by the Czech Republic to implement a suitable solid
waste management project in the Colombo City.
He said innovative mechanisms followed in the Czech Republic for this
purpose are being studied, and a feasibility study would be carried out
in Colombo to identify the most suitable options.
Basnayake said the ministry hopes to coordinate with the Colombo
Municipal Council to carry out this project. Cosmic Technologies (Pvt)
Ltd is acting as the Sri Lankan representative of this project.
