Tangalle water project proves success

The Tangalle water supply project which was implemented some time back funded by UNICEF for sustainable supply of safe drinking water has proved to be a boon to many families in Tangalle and Beliatta.

Water supply rose from the 2,500 cubic metres to 9,000 cubic meters per day.

The lack of fresh water sources along the coastal belt had been a major constraint in providing drinking water for the people of the area.
