SLIIT June intake for IT Management commences
SLIIT, the leading higher education institute which has produced over
20,000 graduates and professionals in Information Technology and
Business Management, has commenced enrolling a mid-year batch of
students for June in addition to the regular intake in January. This is
subsequent to the popular demand by students.
SLIIT currently conducts B.Sc. Special (Hons) Degree programmes in
Information Technology, Computer Systems and Networking, Information
Systems and Software Engineering. Further, it conducts Business
Administration degree programmes specialising in Human Capital
Management, Marketing Management, Finance and Accounting, Management
Information Systems and Quality Management. All these four year degrees
are approved by the University Grants Commission (UGC).
SLIIT provides opportunities for students to complete their degree at
any one of SLIIT's global partner universities in UK, USA, Canada and
Australia.
"We provide the best quality education and academic opportunities for
our students" says Professor S. Karunaratne, Chairman of SLIIT. "We can
attest to the high employability rate of our graduates, who are sought
after by leading companies and multinationals".
The institute provides a broad scope of academic opportunities for
students, including vital pathways which allow students to complete
their degree entirely in Sri Lanka or abroad, depending on their
preferences.
"In addition to providing a wide range of academic programmes, we
believe it is vital to foster university-industry ties to assist
students' growth potential" states Professor Lalith Gamage, President
and CEO of SLIIT. "We also mould students into well rounded individuals,
encouraging them to excel both within the classroom and out on the
sporting arena and in other extracurricular activities". For this
purpose, SLIIT provides a wide range of facilities to encourage such
participation.
Professor Gamage further states that "SLIIT started the June intake
last year due to the high demand for this programme, hence we felt the
need to expand our IT and Business degree intakes in order to provide
more opportunities for students who have just completed their A/L's.
