HP unveils latest inkjet innovation in SL

HP recently unveiled the latest inkjet innovation for businesses that include the breakthrough HP Officejet Pro X series in Sri Lanka.

The HP Officejet Pro X476 dw MFP and HP Officejet Pro X451dw Printer deliver high-quality professional documents at up to twice the speed and half the cost of colour lasers, allowing enterprise work groups and small, medium-sized businesses (SMBs) to enjoy more time and cost savings.

These devices would address the needs of work-teams with upto 15 users printing approximately 4,200 pages a month.

HP is also introducing the HP Officejet Pro 276 dw MFP and HP Officejet Pro 251 dw Printer that can print 20 pages per minute (in black and white) and at a 50% lower cost per page than laser printers. Similar to the HP Officejet Pro X series, these two devices come with manageability features that address the needs of enterprises and medium-sized businesses. These devices are suitable for work-teams with a five users printing, approximately 1,500 pages each month.

The new HP Officejet 7110 Wide Format ePrinter gives businesses easy access to affordable, high-quality A3 printing. With B-size printing capabilities and pigment inks for professional output that resist fading, water and highlighter-pen smearing, this new device offers added flexibility to busy workgroups. Users could print from virtually anywhere with the latest mobile printing technologies such as HP ePrint and HP wireless direct printing.

“Enterprise workgroups and SMBs need technologies to improve efficiency and reduce costs,” said Shamal De Silva, Country Manager for Printing and personal Systems Group, Sri Lanka and Maldives. “The new HP Officejet Pro X Series leads HP’s inkjet innovation for businesses by offering manageability, professional colour printing at breakthrough speed and half the cost of laser printers.”

According to InfoTrends (December 2012), business inkjet devices are expected to take a greater share of the office printing market and worldwide placements of business inkjet devices would grow from 14.7 million in 2011 to 18.9 million in 2016 at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 5.2%.”

The new HP Officejet Pro X Series marks a breakthrough in HP’s 25-year legacy in inkjet innovation. During this time, HP has transformed the single-sheet inkjet printer to a series of award-winning high-speed, lightweight, energy-efficient printers that come with the latest technologies for businesses including mobile printing, web connectivity and enterprise management solutions.

HP business inkjet printers have consistently received accolades. Over the past year, HP Officejet and Officejet Pro series products have received a combined total of six awards for outstanding A4 inkjet printing and energy efficiency (Summer2012, Winter 2012, Winter 2013) from Buyers Laboratory LLC.

Powered by HP PageWide Technology, the company’s next generation inkjet platform, the HP Officejet Pro X Series could deliver high-quality professional documents at exceptional speed.

HP PageWide Technology delivers four colours of Original HP pigment ink at one time onto a moving sheet of paper.

As the paper moves, the print-head remains stationary, allowing the HP Officejet Pro X Series to print quickly and quietly. The standard 500-sheet main paper tray lets users save even more time with fewer printing interruptions.

Additionally, HP 970 and 971 ink cartridges feature quick-drying, long-lasting pigment inks that offer highly durable, professional print quality, and feature optimized colour mixing and paper interaction for high-speed printing. The HP 970XL high capacity black cartridge can print up to 9,200 pages from a single cartridge.

The ENERGY STAR qualified HP Officejet Pro X also features energy- and waste-saving features as well as best-in-class supplies that continue HP’s commitment to improve the sustainability of office printing.

The HP Officejet Pro X uses upto 50 percent less energy and HP 970 and 971ink cartridges create a 50 percent less supplies waste than laser, while offering comparable quality. An automatic two-sided printing on every model creates additional opportunities to save paper.

The HP Officejet Pro X series and the HP Officejet Pro 276dw MFP/251dw Printer are designed for easy integration into managed print environments in enterprise workgroups and medium-sized businesses.

These devices are compatible with fleet management tools such as HP Universal Print Drivers, HP Web JetAdmin10.3, HP Colour Access Control as well as PCL5/6 and PostScript 3 emulation that optimize printing over a network. Security features include SSL/HTTPS, Firewall, Syslog and Control Panel Lock functions. A digital workflow can also be easily activated with scan to network folders or email capability.

These new devices are available at all HP Managed Print Services or HP’s authorized commercial partners islandwide.
