Zhen Hua 25 from Shanghai, China, arrived at the Colombo
International Container Terminal (CICT), on May 20, carrying on board
three gantry cranes and ten rubber tyre gantry cranes (RTG), to be
installed at the CICT.
This is the first consignment to arrive at the CICT and further four
more shipments with the same quantity of equipment are to be expected at
the CICT. The ship and the the equipment belongs to the Shanghai Zhen
Hua Shipping Company Limited (ZPMC) and ZPMC is a market leader for
manufacturing and supplying heavy duty harbour equipment and who enjoys
70% of the world market.
The ZPMC is a subsidiary of the Chinese gigantic business condominium
called CCC. The ZPMC, the shipping agency was obtained by Parakrama
Pilapitiya for Ceyline Shipping Limited, who also started road
constructions for Ceyline. He also has the second shipping line and has
shown interest in appointing Ceyline Shipping Limited as their local
agents.
The Zhen Hua 25 ship operations efficiently handled by Capt. Kapila
Perera and his dedicated team, took into consideration every aspect
which made the Chinese ship captain extremely happy. On the arrival of
the ship, the Captain, the Chief Officer and the Chief Engineer were
welcomed by Ms. Wang Meng on behalf of Ceyline Shipping.
Parakrama Pilapitiya and Capt. Kapila Perera thank Capt. Ravi
Jayawickrama, the Harbour Master Tissa Wickramasinghe, the General
Manager CICT, the Customs Quarantine and the Immigration Officers who
boarded the vessel and discharged their duties in a professional manner.
