UNP politically and financially bankrupt – Earl

The UNP is today bankrupt not only politically but also financially. The only option left for UNP leader Ranil Wickremesinghe is to sell the party by public auction, Plantation Industries Deputy Minister and UNP Additional Treasurer Earl Gunasekera said.

Gunasekera said today a lot of corruption and financial rackets were taking place within the UNP due to the lack of proper financial management.

He said as such, the country would be at stake if such a party came to power by fluke.

Gunasekera said all proposals made by him for the progress of the party in his capacity as Treasurer were rejected by the party leader.
