Army employee kingpin in EC robbery

Police are conducting investigations following the arrest of two suspects in connection with the Meegoda Economic Center robbery last Thursday ( 02). These two suspects were arrested by police from the Katawala area in Padukka.

Cash totaling Rs. 600,000 was robbed from from two shops at the Economic Centre. According to police the kingpin in the robbery is an army employee who was engaged in the moonshine business.

Police are interrogating the suspects .
