School drop outs gifted stationary

School drop outs in Kilinochchi were given stationery and study tools by the Jaffna Traders Association at Kilinochchi Secretariat at a function presided by Kilinochchi Government Agent Rupawathy Ketheeswaran recently.

Jaffna Traders Association President R. Jeyasekaram was the chief guest.

Jeyasekaram said the standard of education of students in Kilinochchi schools earlier was low but now an improvement is witnessed. School drop outs had to be given encouragement and urged to continue studies.

"Our association had been giving assistance to students through District officers. In addition, we had given food items to students and helped 210 families," he said.
