'SLMC has no intention to quit government'

The Sri Lanka Muslim Congress has no intention to quit the government, said its leader and Justice Minister Rauf Hakeem.

The minister made this observation in Parliament yesterday while joining the debate on the no confidence motion moved against Minister Dilan Perera by the Opposition.

Minister Rauf Hakeem said editorials of two newspapers carried yesterday said that the SLMC was planning to leave the government. He said those rumours were incorrect.

He said the SLMC has room to discuss any matter with the government.
