Gang attacks leasing company staff

A team of officers from a vehicle leasing company who had seized a three wheeler taxi for non payment of lease installments were set upon and beaten up by a gang while they were taking the seized vehicle at Buthkudiya on the Puttalam-Chilaw road severely injuring one of them. The gang had also snatched the two mobile phones carried by two members of the team and fled the scene after robbing Rs 5,000 from their possession.
