Not another art project at BAREFOOT Gallery

Not another art project - an exhibition of visual arts is organised by Colombo Artists, which consist of a group of renowned artists in Sri Lanka together with some internationally recognised artists from various parts of the world will be held on Friday (May 10) to Sunday (June 2) at BAREFOOT Gallery, No.704, Galle Road, Colombo-3.

The artists in Colombo Artists have represented Sri Lanka in number of international work shops and exhibitions over the years.

They have contributed to the Sri Lankan Art industry in various forms.

Colombo Artists appreciate the moral boost that happens from the ART projects, but this Exhibition is an Experimental Exhibition of its own. In most art projects the “Theme” is given to the artists or art work is selected by a curator. The specialty is ‘not another art project ‘is that the artists are given a chance to open their mind without any restrictions or boundaries.

Artists are not compelled to limit their work under a theme. In this exhibition artists are not expected to reach goals. But to let the creativity come out in open in their own shapes and colours. This would be a wonderful opportunity given to every artist in here and overseas. Participants would be from USA, United Kingdom, Sweden, Germany, Hong Kong, Japan, Indonesia, India, Pakistan, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka.

Artists : Cristina Longo (Sweden),Kathryn Hagy (USA), Vienne Chan (Hong Kong), Andrew Stahl (UK), Deddy Paw (Indonesia), Cora de Lang (Argentina- Germany) Lisa Tagesson ( Sweden ), Vidhyasagar Upadhyay (India), Ravikumar Kashi (India), Vinay Sharma (India), Anjani Reddy (India), Nisar Hossain (Bangladesh), RM Naeem (Pakistan ).Kanae Tsukahara (Japan), Kingsley Gunatillake (Sri Lanka), Chaminda Gamage (Sri Lanka),K D Lakshman (Sri Lanka), T P G Amarajeewa (Sri Lanka) , Susil Dixon (Sri Lanka), Charitha Lay (Sri Lanka), Anuradha Henakarachchi (Sri Lanka).
