Resounding slap in the face for CANADA and TAMIL DIASPORA

The human rights situation in the Maple Leaf
nation has got worse under Stephen Harper’s government which continues
to deny or limit title to Aboriginals to whom Canada belonged before the
usurpers invasion. Among the many other heinous crimes being committed
by Stephen Harper, John Baird and their ilk robbing the rich mineral
resources of the Indigenous peoples land
Canada and the Tamil Diaspora received a resounding slap in the face
last Friday when the Secretary General of the Commonwealth Kamalesh
Sharma confirmed that the next Commonwealth Heads of Government meeting
will be held in Sri Lanka in November this year.
The CHOGM summit is scheduled to be inaugurated by British Queen
Elizabeth II in November in Hambantota, in the deep south of the country
when the weather will be nice and cool and which now has the ultramodern
Mahinda Rajapaksa international airport and harbour.
The Queen who first visited this fair isle as Princess Elizabeth in
April 1954 will be doing so for the third time, while her husband,
Prince Phillip served as a Naval Lieutenant attached to the South East
Asia Command (SEAC) in Kandy, headed by his uncle Lord Louis Mountbatten
During World War II.
Sri Lanka was not on the agenda of the Commonwealth Ministerial
Action Group, but hirelings of the Tamil Diaspora who pose off as media
persons, a motley group of saboteurs, launched a barrage of questions in
a desperate attempt to prevent Sri Lanka from hosting the CHOGM Summit.
But, these efforts proved futile, damp squibs. These toothless canines
such as Frances Harrison, former BBC correspondent in Colombo, Jonathan
Miller of the lie factory Channel 4 financed and run by the Tamil
Eelamist Diaspora supported journalist villain Sam Jones of the
Guardian, who reportedly runs a clandestine anti propaganda base in
Colombo with funds provided by the Eelamists.
International politics
The Commonwealth Secretary General categorically stated at last
Friday’s media conference that no member government has indicated even
remotely that it wishes to change the venue of this year’s CHOGM
meeting.

Mr. Sharma replying questions said that Sri Lanka was decided on as
the venue for 2013 way back in 2009. It is clearly a collective decision
and the meeting will be held in November in Sri Lanka. He said he was
satisfied with the progress he was making in consultation with the Sri
Lankan government.
Australian Foreign Minister Bob Carr said that his country was
without a doubt attending the CHOGM in Sri Lanka in November.
He told ABC television late Friday, “Our challenge is to keep the
pressure onto see there are further improvements that it would be
counter productive to skip the Summit in Hambantota. Any suggestion of a
boycott would be counter productive. It would simply isolate the country
and render it defiant of international opinion.”
“Our challenge is to keep the pressure on to see that there are
further improvements, especially directed at reconciliation in the
North.”
People in the North, they have told me , they have seen former Tamil
Tigers - that is fighters using terrorist means are now being
rehabilitated, being gainfully employed, being reintegrated into that
community.
Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper, a novice is more suited to be
a comedian than a politician, utters nonsense, and his Foreign Minister
John Baird, both hitherto unheard of in international politics, have
chosen little Sri Lanka as the launching pad to gain cheap international
publicity, an act more suited for vaudeville.
Stephen Harper and his sidekick Baird have no credibility and are
infamous for proroguing the Canadian Parliament when facing defeat. That
clearly is not democracy.
Now comes the hard crunch for Harper and Baird, the Harpo and Groucho
of Canadian politics.

It is reported that all these antics by the two political comedians
are to divert attention from them from the growing international
condemnation against violations of rights of the indigenous population
of the Maple Leaf nation. The two jokers are the laughing stock of the
Canadian media and are better known for their empty rhetoric and tub
thumping than their intellect.
The last man to even attempt become a champion of human rights is
Stephen Harper whose Government has one of the worst human rights
records in the history of mankind, what with its cruel, inhuman
treatment and torture of peaceful demonstrators protesting against large
scale racial discrimination against the indigenous population to whom
Canada rightly belongs and minority groups such as the Muslim, Arab and
African communities.
Russia and China have complained bitterly at the United Nations Human
Rights Council against the blatant human rights violations being
committed by Canada. Russia went to the extent of being alarmed at
“Police actions of torture and cruelty against peaceful demonstrators”,
while China charged Canada with “widespread racial discrimination”.
Canada was also accused by Iran of child sexual exploitation,
trafficking in human rights, the right to food and laws discriminating
against the Indigenous population of the country.

Meanwhile, that TNA mouse, by the name of Sumanthiran received a
right royal kick on his behind when he tried put his two cents worth
into the ring to have CHOGM shifted to a venue other than Sri Lanka.
This political greenhorn has become too big for his boots and must be
cut down to size. |
