Old Thurstanites into second round

Old Thurstanites 'A' defeated Royal Knights Sports Club by four wickets in their inter-club division three tournament cricket match organized by Sri Lanka Cricket and worked off at Wattala. By virtue of this win Old Thurstanites 'A' have booked a berth in the second round and they were unbeaten group leaders.

Batting first Royal Knights scored 210 runs with Leslie Richards scoring 59 runs while Pramod Gunawardene claimed 3 for 52. In reply Old Thurstanites 'A' notched up the required score for the loss of six wickets with Surendra Kumara 53 and Milhaj Jaleel 39 associating a third wicket partnership of 71 runs. Sanjeevan Durairaj took 3 for 31 for the loosers.
