One person was critically injured in an explosion inside a shop in
Akuressa yesterday morning. Police said the incident occurred inside a
wholesale shop near Akuressa town. The injured person was admitted to
the Matara Hospital.
The STF which is conducting investigations into the incident found
that fire crackers and other incendiary material stored inside the shop
and believe these may have caused the explosion. |
