Sing-a-long for a cause

There have been no pains to provide music lovers the very best that they can ever get in a single night at a very economical price.

The night of April 30 will indeed provide a unique and affordable opportunity of singing along with those evergreen, unforgettable, perennial favourites and after that, grabbing a partner and taking the floor to dance one’s cares away. A Song Book replete with 140 songs will be in everyone’s hands as a lasting memento at no additional cost. Padded on to the fun filled evening will be valuable prizes and surprises that include awards for the Best Singing Table, Entrance Ticket Draw, Business Card Draw and the Baila Competition. To crown it all, the Bandstand will be occupied by the Super Stars of Song and Dance - Nalin and the Star Combination.

There will be a sensational attraction in the shape and form of the evergreen Annesley Malawana on stage to provide a melodious and rhythm filled extraordinary session that will be captivating. The wit and charisma of Sri Lanka’s award winning compere Vijaya Corea, will add the necessary colour to this fascinating Sing-a-Long cum Sundown Dance which will be held on Tuesday April 30 at 7.30pm at the Grand Ballroom of the Galadari Hotel where prices on food and beverage have been slashed for the occasion with an offer of free corkage too. Moreover, every cent spent on a ticket will be utilized for a supremely worthy cause, namely to meet the needs of underprivileged cancer patients at the Maharagama Cancer Hospital.

It might be worth recalling that last year every ticket was sold out five days before the event.

This time around too, with all this entertainment in a single package where a large number of tickets are already said to have been snapped up at the exclusive Sales Centres at Torana, Liberty Plaza and Majestic City. So, those who have yet to buy their tickets would do well to go for them quickly before they sell out as every purchaser of ten tickets will be entitled to a reserved table.
