Three killed, 170 injured in Boston blasts
Three explosions rocked the US city of Boston on
Monday afternoon, killing three and injuring over 170, turning the
traditional local marathon festivity into a scene of blood and
terror. While President Barack Obama remained cautious and avoided
calling the blasts a terror attack, some US media and experts
already started to use the phrase of “terrorist bombings.”

World spends less on military - SIPRI
The world spent less on weapons and military
services in 2012 than the year before, the first annual drop since
1998, a Swedish think tank said on Monday. But despite the overall
decrease, driven mainly by budget cuts in the Western countries,
China and Russia both boosted spending last year, the Stockholm
International Peace Research Institute (SIPRI) said.

Era of atomic bombs over - Ahmadinejad
Iran’s President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad says the
era of atomic bombs is over and the use of nuclear weapons will no
longer influence political equations. “The era of the atomic bomb is
over. Atomic bombs are no longer useful and have no effect on
political equations. Atomic bombs belong to the last century, and
anyone who thinks he can rule the world by atomic bombs is a
political fool,” Ahmadinejad said during his visit to Benin on
Monday.

Iran to increase gasoline exports
Iran's Deputy Oil Minister Alireza Zeighami says
the Islamic Republic is expected to export 30 million liters of
gasoline per day by 2015, despite the illegal US-led sanctions
against the country. Zeighami, who is also the managing director of
the National Iranian Oil Refining and Distribution Company (NIORDC),
said on Monday that Iran’s gasoline production will hit 70 million
liters per day by the end of the current Iranian year (March 20,
2014).
