Wahala, Ruwanthi champs

W.M.S.A.B. Wahala (HDDEX) and Ruwanthi Vidyani(Fransisku) emerged
champions in the AVI 30th MBA Novices Badminton Championships 2013
worked off from April 3 to 7 at St. Thomas' College Mt. Lavinia.
Wasala beat Mahela Thalpawila by 21-18, 18-21, 21-18 in the men's
singles final and Ruwanthi emerged victorious by outplaying Thilini
Gunatilleke(NTB) in a two setter (21-8, 21-13) in the women's singles
final.

Vasantha Goonawardena (Akbar) got the better of Ajith
Weeratunga(Carsons) to win the Masters Championship while men's Veterans
single was bagged by C.A.D. Samantha(Mc Larens) when he overcame
Dayantha Fernando(Sri Lankan). Mahenda Amarasinghe and Deepal Silva
(John Keells Holdings) cruised to victory in men's veterans doubles
final by beating Samantha Samarasinghe and Duminda Hettiarachchi(HNB).
