Royal Cricketers to tour Malaysia
Royal College Colombo Cricket team which enjoyed a fine season has
been rewarded with a one week tour of Malaysia beginning on April 20.
During the tour, they will play two matches against two leading
Malaysian Schools.
Royal remained unbeaten throughout the season during which they won
five matches against Isipatana, St.Anthony's, Dharmaraja, Thurstan and
the big match against S.Thomas' Mount Lavinia.
The team will be accompanied by Senior Games Master M.T.A.Rauff,
Master-In-Charge E.G.M.Rajakaruna, Coach Neil Rajapaksa and member of
the cricket advisory committee Zulki Hamid.
However, the Reid Avenue School will miss the services of big match
hero Chamika Karunaratne( who is away with the Sri Lanka under 19 team
in Bangladesh) and left arm leg spinner Lasith Embuldeniya who is in
Vietnam on holiday.(TJ)
