Thomian - Trinity clash on April 20

The eagerly awaited confrontation between Trinity College Kandy and
S.Thomas' College Mount Lavinia for the Canon R.S. de Saram shield will
be played on April 20(Saturday) at the S.Thomas' Grounds Mount Lavinia.
Trinity, who are the holders of the shield will go out favourites to
win, but will receive a strong challenge from the Thomians.The
Trinitians who are playing in segment 'A' of schools division one
tournament remain unbeaten having beaten Science (18-11) and
Kingswood(38-21) while holding the formidable Rajans to a 34 all draw.
The Thomians who are playing in segment 'B' too remain unbeaten
having beaten Prince Of Wales and St.Sylvester's and will strive to give
a good display against the strong Trinitians. Meanwhile, the Schools
segment one tournament will begin after a two week break with the match
between home town rivals Dharmaraja and Kingswood on April 26(Friday) at
Bogambara Stadium, Kandy.
On the following day, four key matches will be played. The Antonians
who scored a stunning 32 - 22 win over Isipatana will play host to
St.Joseph's at Nittawela. The formidable Peterites, who remain unbeaten
will face a fierce challenge from the strong Trinitians.
The Wesleyites who too remain unbeaten with three victories will be
the guests of Royal College at the Royal Sports Complex on April
27(Saturday) with Science College locking horns with Isipatana on the
same day at Mount Lavinia.
